The kids’ version of the Tesla Cyberquad, produced by Radio Flyer, has made a triumphant return to the market after a recall last year due to not meeting Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) standards. The Cyberquad for Kids, modeled after the popular Cybertruck, comes with updated safety features and is set to hit the market later this month.
When the children’s all-terrain vehicle was initially released in 2021, it quickly sold out. However, it had to be recalled due to violations of ATV federal safety standards for youths. The recall was a result of various issues, including an inadequate mechanical suspension and maximum tire pressure. The updated version, Model 915, now meets all CPSC requirements and is safe for children aged nine to 12 years old.
Radio Flyer’s CEO, Robert Pasin, expressed his excitement about the relaunch of the Cyberquad for Kids, a product that the company has been working on for the past two years. The company has made significant safety updates to ensure that the new model complies with all regulations. These changes include replacing the rear spring with a steel tube featuring rubber-coated metal inserts to secure the rear frame to the main frame. The age range has also been updated, and the vehicle now comes with a tire inflation warning label to ensure safe use.
As for the design and features, the Cyberquad for Kids offers a 500-watt motor with a maximum speed of 10 mph and an estimated 15 miles of range. It also includes an LED headlight and taillight that imitate the Cybertruck, along with a steel frame, high-pressure rubber air tires, and a 36V Radio Flyer battery for optimal performance and minimal environmental impact.

Despite Tesla’s involvement being primarily limited to sales and the visual design of the vehicle, the updated Cyberquad for Kids is exclusively available on Tesla’s website. The Cyberquad is now available for purchase at $1,900, with orders slated to begin shipping in late November alongside other Tesla-branded ride-on toys, including the Model S for Kids and My First Model Y.
