Ford is keeping the Ford Bronco Sport lineup fresh with the introduction of the 2024 model year. The new lineup features the Free Wheeling special edition and a Black Appearance Package, providing customers with more options to customize their Bronco Sport. The orders for the new model year are now open.
The highlight of the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport lineup is the return of the Free Wheeling package. This special edition starts as a Bronco Sport Big Bend model but stands out with distinctive graphics adorning the body sides, tailgate, and hood. The graphics feature reflective red, orange, yellow, and silver accents, making the vehicle hard to miss on the road.
Furthermore, the Free Wheeling edition adds a touch of sportiness to the exterior. The standard 17-inch aluminum wheels from the Big Bend model are painted black with red accents. The Bronco badges also have a two-tone color scheme, and the grille is painted silver. Additionally, a new silver insert has been fitted in the lower grille. To complete its stylish look, the roof is painted black. These design elements pay homage to the Free Wheeling package on various vehicles from the 1970s, such as the F-100, F-150, Bronco, and Econoline.
Inside the cabin, the Free Wheeling trim adds sunset-colored seat inserts, bringing a vibrant touch to the predominantly black and gray space. The red, orange, and yellow seat stitching matches the seat inserts, creating a cohesive aesthetic. The trim on the doors and dash is painted Race Red, adding more character to the interior design.
Ford has announced that the Bronco Sport Free Wheeling is a limited-run model, although they haven’t specified how many units will be produced. The price for this special edition starts at $35,325, including the destination fee.
In addition to the Free Wheeling edition, Ford is offering a Black Appearance Package for those who prefer a more sinister and understated look for their Bronco Sport. This package completely transforms the vehicle’s appearance, giving it a blackout treatment from front to back, top to bottom.
The Black Appearance Package includes a black grille, dark two-tone Bronco Sport badges, matte-black 17-inch wheels, and a matte-black hood graphic. The roof is also painted black to match the blacked-out trim and smoked Ford badges. Inside the vehicle, Bronco Sports equipped with the Black Appearance Package feature charcoal and leather-trimmed seats, complementing the overall black theme of the vehicle.
Similar to the Free Wheeling package, the Black Appearance Package is only available on the Big Bend model. The price for this package is $1,750, providing customers with an affordable option to customize their Bronco Sport.
It’s worth noting that the Bronco Sport Big Bend model, on which both the Free Wheeling and Black Appearance Packages are based, comes with a 1.5-liter turbo-3 engine producing 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. While the Badlands trim offers additional off-road capabilities such as a locking rear differential and an advanced twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, these features are not available as options on the Big Bend model.
With the introduction of the Free Wheeling special edition and the Black Appearance Package, Ford is providing customers with even more options to personalize their Bronco Sport. These new additions enhance the versatility and customization possibilities of the already popular SUV. Customers can now make a statement on the road with these unique and eye-catching editions of the Ford Bronco Sport.
