Barbara Evans, the grandmother of Jenelle Evans’ son Jace, is expressing concern for his well-being after his recent runaway incident. Barbara had custody of Jace for over a decade and believes that Jenelle’s decision to take him off his ADHD medication may have contributed to the incident.
According to Barbara, Jace had been on the medication for seven years and was regularly seeing a behavior specialist, which seemed to be working well for him. However, when Jenelle regained custody of Jace in March, she not only took him off the medication but also ended his sessions with the behaviorist.
Jenelle denies part of Barbara’s claim, stating that Barbara has not been in contact with Jace since Monday and she has cut off contact with her three weeks ago. Jenelle asserts that Barbara does not know what is happening inside her home and that Jace had a therapist appointment scheduled for that day which they were going to attend remotely via Zoom. She also mentions that Barbara hasn’t attempted to speak directly to Jace.
It is unclear whether the therapy appointment was scheduled in response to Jace’s runaway incident or if it was already planned prior to the incident. However, it is apparent that the situation was concerning for all parties involved.
