The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is receiving a series of subtle styling updates, and Mercedes has provided us with an early look at these changes. While the automaker has only announced the launch of the updated model for Europe, where sales have already begun, automobile enthusiasts worldwide eagerly anticipate its arrival.
One of the notable styling changes is the introduction of a new grille and lower front fascia. Mercedes states that these elements are borrowed from the recently redesigned 2024 AMG GT Coupe, which made its debut during the 2023 Monterey Car Week. The front end of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe now sports a more rounded appearance, complemented by new vertical air ducts and a wider lower opening. These refinements enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the vehicle, giving it a more modern and sophisticated look.
In addition to the exterior updates, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe boasts several new features and enhancements. The European model now comes standard with a sunroof and rear-seat wireless phone charging. Inside the cabin, the infotainment system has undergone a redesign and includes AMG-specific displays for a more immersive user experience. Furthermore, customers have the option to equip the vehicle with a Burmester 3D surround sound system, featuring Dolby Atmos sound-enhancing technology, to elevate their audio enjoyment to new heights.
Mercedes has thus far showcased the updated AMG GT 63 S E Performance plug-in hybrid model. However, details regarding changes to the powertrain have not been revealed. Currently, the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine complemented by an electric motor positioned at the rear axle. This powertrain configuration generates an impressive 843 horsepower, making the car a force to be reckoned with. A similar powertrain can also be found in the AMG S63 E Performance sedan, where it churns out 791 horsepower. Given this established powertrain, it is likely that other variants of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, such as the GT 53 and GT43 models, will be offered with varying levels of power and performance.
