Infiniti has announced the pricing for the 2024 Infiniti QX50, which will start at $42,045 when it becomes available in showrooms later this month. This price includes a mandatory $1,195 destination charge, making it $550 higher than the previous model year, the 2023 QX50.
The 2024 Infiniti QX50 will be available in five different grades, beginning with the base Pure and progressing through the Luxe, Sport, Sensory, and the top-of-the-line Autograph grade. The Pure grade comes equipped with Infiniti’s unique split-screen interface, featuring an 8.0-inch upper touchscreen and a 7.0-inch lower touchscreen. It also includes wired Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, 19-inch wheels, and the ProPilot Assist driver-assist system, which is shared with Infiniti’s parent company, Nissan.
Moving up to the Luxe grade, priced at $45,345 with destination, additional features include a panoramic moonroof, leather seats, heated front seats, roof rails, and a motion-activated liftgate. The Sport trim, which debuted in the 2023 model year and is available for $50,245 in 2024, adds sportier styling elements such as 20-inch wheels, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and a surround-view camera system.
The Sensory grade, priced at $54,545, includes features like rain-sensing wipers, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, maple wood trim, a head-up display, and an upgraded 16-speaker audio system. The top-of-the-line Autograph grade, priced at $59,095, adds luxurious touches like quilted seat stitching and also boasts an increased towing capacity of 3,000 pounds.
All versions of the Infiniti QX50 come equipped with Infiniti’s VC-Turbo variable compression turbocharged engine. This innovative 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine can adjust the compression ratio in favor of power or fuel economy by raising or lowering the reach of the pistons. It offers a compression ratio between 8:1 for more power and 14:1 for greater efficiency. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and most grades come with standard front-wheel drive. The Autograph grade includes standard all-wheel drive, while it remains an optional $2,000 upgrade on other grades.
The maximum output of the Infiniti QX50’s engine remains unchanged at 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The EPA-rated fuel economy, despite the variable compression engine, remains at a middling 26 mpg combined (29 mpg city, 32 mpg highway) for front-wheel drive models and 25 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway) for all-wheel drive models.
The Infiniti QX50 was introduced for the 2019 model year and is one of the newer models in Infiniti’s lineup, which also includes the aging Q50 sedan and the QX80 SUV. A coupe-like sibling to the QX50, known as the QX55, was introduced for the 2022 model year.
In conclusion, the 2024 Infiniti QX50 offers a variety of grades with different features and price points. Infiniti’s VC-Turbo engine provides flexibility in terms of power and fuel economy, and the QX50 remains a competitive option in the luxury SUV market. With its sleek design and advanced technology features, it is an attractive choice for buyers seeking a stylish and modern crossover.
