The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is already one of the most expensive cars on the market, starting at $340,000 for a base model. However, a one-off version of the Celestiq featured in luxury retailer Neiman Marcus’ annual Christmas catalog takes the price to a whole new level at $975,000.
The price tag for the Commissioned by Cadillac Carmen Celestiq includes a two-day trip to Detroit where the buyer can enjoy artistic and culinary experiences in the city. They will also have the opportunity to visit Cadillac’s design headquarters and meet with the Celestiq’s design team. Additionally, the buyer will get to visit General Motors’ Technical Center in nearby Warren, where Celestiq production takes place, and witness the creation of the one-off example.
In a show of generosity, Cadillac has pledged to donate $25,000 of the proceeds from the sale to the Detroit Opera House, further enhancing the exclusivity and prestige of this special edition Celestiq.
Although the details of the vehicle’s specifications have not been disclosed by Neiman Marcus, it is known that the Carmen Celestiq will feature the advanced technologies present in the regular Celestiq model. These include an impressive 55.0-inch dash-wide digital display, a four-panel glass roof that allows individual control of transparency, a 38-speaker AKG sound system, and the debut of GM’s Ultra Cruise automated driver-assist feature, capable of functioning on 95% of U.S. roads.
The Celestiq is an electric flagship vehicle built on GM’s Ultium EV platform and battery technology. It boasts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 600 horsepower and is equipped with a 111-kWh battery, offering an estimated range of approximately 300 miles. Thanks to its support for charging at up to 200 kW, the Celestiq can add nearly 80 miles of range in just 10 minutes when using a DC fast charger.
Customers can expect deliveries of the Celestiq to begin in the spring. However, due to limited production capacity, Cadillac is expected to build only 500 units per year, making this vehicle a truly rare find for those fortunate enough to get their hands on one.
The first buyers of the Celestiq were invited to choose the specifications for their cars last summer, ensuring that each vehicle is uniquely personalized to the owner’s preferences. Cadillac goes above and beyond to provide a luxurious experience for its customers, offering a concierge service and access to a Cadillac designer to help tailor the vehicle to their exact desires. As a result, no two Celestiqs are expected to be identical. Although specific details about personalization options have not been released, it has been confirmed that the Cadillac goddess logo will make a return, appearing on certain exterior elements and within the cabin of the vehicle.
Cadillac’s collaboration with Neiman Marcus to offer this exclusive Carmen Celestiq demonstrates their commitment to providing an unparalleled level of luxury and customization. The remarkable price tag and unique features of this one-off model make it a truly extraordinary offering, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike who value a truly bespoke driving experience.
The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is poised to redefine luxury in the electric vehicle market. With its cutting-edge technology, powerful performance, and unmatched personalization options, it represents the pinnacle of automotive excellence.
