Ringbrothers, a renowned Wisconsin-based custom builder, has showcased its latest creations at the 2023 SEMA show, cementing its reputation for high-quality custom builds. One of the standout vehicles presented by the company is a completely reimagined 1969 Dodge Charger named Tusk. While custom Chargers are not uncommon, Ringbrothers took a bold step by dramatically altering the proportions of the vehicle. Additionally, the build features the highly coveted supercharged 7.0-liter V-8 engine called the Hellephant, limited to just 100 units and capable of generating an impressive 1,000 horsepower.
The Tusk build revolves around customization in every aspect. The wheelbase has been lengthened, rockers and fenders have been extended, and the engine mounting has been shifted 2.5 inches farther back compared to the stock configuration. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, a custom carbon-fiber driveshaft, and a Ford 9-inch rear axle.
Not only does the Tusk showcase exceptional mechanical modifications, but it also flaunts unique custom bodywork. All the body panels, including the hood, are made from carbon fiber. The two-piece hood design features cut-outs in the scoops, revealing billet machined grilles that provide the driver with a clear view. A single billet machined chrome piece is added to accentuate the iconic hideaway headlight grille. The front and rear fascias have been expertly tucked and narrowed to visually extend the vehicle’s profile.
The Tusk’s visual appeal is further enhanced with a black paint finish and gold accents. The hood scoops, wheels, and rear stripe all feature exquisite gold touches. The wheels are courtesy of HRE and are positioned two inches further forward due to the stretched wheelbase. Each corner of the Tusk is equipped with Fox RS SV coilovers and Baer brakes, boasting six-piston calipers. Additionally, billet side vents on the front fenders assist in heat dissipation generated by the massive brakes.
Stepping inside the Tusk, one encounters a mix of carbon fiber and modern amenities. The console and custom shifter, designed with a pistol grip, are both crafted from carbon fiber. The gauges are digital, accompanied by a digital rearview mirror and a modern climate-control system.
Creating the Tusk was not a quick feat. Ringbrothers devoted over five thousand hours to complete this extraordinary build, highlighting their dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail.
In addition to the Tusk, Ringbrothers also presented two other remarkable vehicles at the SEMA show. The first is a 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II known as Paramount. While specific details about Paramount have not been provided, one can expect the same level of customization and quality that Ringbrothers consistently delivers. The second vehicle on display is a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible called Uncaged. Similar to the Tusk, Uncaged is certain to captivate with its unique modifications and exceptional performance capabilities.
Ringbrothers’ presence at the SEMA show confirms their status as pioneers in the custom car industry. With each build they introduce, they push the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship, always striving to deliver unparalleled quality. The Tusk, Paramount, and Uncaged serve as evidence of the company’s relentless pursuit of excellence, leaving car enthusiasts and admirers in awe of their creations.
