Master & Dynamic, a renowned audio company, has not released new wireless earbuds since 2021 when it unveiled the MW08 and MW08 Sport. However, the company is back with a new model, the MW09, featuring a refined design, better battery life, redesigned acoustics, and upgraded call quality. As with all of Master & Dynamic’s products, the MW09 is crafted with premium materials, including aluminum, Kevlar, and sapphire glass. Despite the upgrades, the new model is priced the same as the company’s most recent true wireless option.
The MW09’s outer panel, reminiscent of the MW08 Sport, is a combination of aluminum and sapphire glass, sporting a similar overall D-shaped design. Master & Dynamic has given the new model a more ergonomic shape and reduced weight, ensuring a better fit for a wider range of ear shapes and increased comfort. Additionally, the outer panel now features a circular section where the company’s “M” branding is displayed, with physical controls located on the top edge.
Internally, the MW09 boasts a new acoustic architecture with 11mm beryllium drivers, promising the company’s “most expansive sound profile ever.” The updated microphone and sensor placement, coupled with new adaptive noise-blocking algorithms, provide improved active noise cancellation. Furthermore, the new AI-powered “high-definition” speech setup enhances call clarity and natural sound, even in noisy environments. Furthermore, Master & Dynamic is revamping its M&D Connect App for the MW09, providing fully adjustable EQ, battery monitoring, an earbud fit test, and sidetone for better call quality. The new model supports Bluetooth 5.4, Snapdragon Sound, Auracast, and multipoint connectivity for seamless device switching.

The MW09 will be available in black, white, and gold with an aluminum case for $349, the same price as the MW08 Sport. For an additional $50, customers can opt for Kevlar case options in green, blue, or gunmetal hues. All color and case options will be available for purchase or preorder on Master & Dynamic’s website on November 14.
