Lucid, the California-based electric vehicle manufacturer, is expanding its lineup with the debut of the Lucid Gravity, a three-row luxury crossover SUV. As the company shifts its focus to a larger segment of the market, the Gravity is set to make a splash in the luxury electric SUV space when it arrives late in 2024.
One of the most striking features of the Gravity is its impressive range. Lucid claims that the most efficient versions of the SUV will have over 440 miles of driving range, making it a compelling option for those looking to make the switch to electric vehicles. And with a price tag of less than $80,000, the Gravity offers both range and luxury at a competitive price point.
Under the hood, the Gravity is equipped with a dual-motor powertrain, providing all-wheel drive and delivering quick acceleration. The SUV is capable of reaching 0-60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds, showcasing its performance capabilities. Additionally, the Gravity is designed to be quick to recharge, with the ability to gain 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
In terms of design, the Gravity shares some similarities with Lucid’s flagship sedan, the Air. It features an overall shape and certain design details that are reminiscent of the Air, but with a larger, more practical roofline and a hood that dips down into the front bumper. The SUV’s aerodynamic design, with a coefficient of drag currently at 0.24, sets it apart as one of the slipperiest and most efficient three-row EVs on the market.
