Coachella planners are known for making big announcements about their lineup, but BravoCon decided to surprise everyone by scheduling a panel with the cast of Vanderpump Rules on the first day of the event. This panel marked the first time the cast spoke publicly since the explosive reunion special that wrapped up the scandal-ridden season. The three-part reunion was so contentious that it was famously dubbed “a shitshow” by none other than Lisa Vanderpump herself.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the drama that unfolded during the reunion, it’s worth mentioning that the tension reached unprecedented levels between the former couple Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval. Both of them were present at the BravoCon panel, along with castmates Brock Davies, James Kennedy, Lala Kent, Ally Lewber, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay, Tom Schwartz, and the matriarch herself, Lisa Vanderpump. While the 45-minute session did not feature the same level of acrimony as the reunion, there were definitely some tense moments.
Sandoval, still bearing the scars of his exposed infidelity, received boos from the audience every time he spoke. Despite this, Vanderpump defended him, explaining that she loves all of the cast members individually, even if they have made mistakes. Madix, on the other hand, was met with a warm reception from the audience. She spoke cautiously about her experience filming the recently wrapped 11th season, particularly scenes involving Sandoval, which are set to air in January.
While the cast members were tight-lipped about the specifics of the upcoming season, which is typical for reality shows that rely on the element of surprise, Vanderpump offered some tantalizing hints. She revealed that this season was particularly challenging for Sandoval and Ariana, and that it will be different from any previous season. She compared it to the tumultuous world of Vanderpump Rules, rather than the peaceful setting of Little House on the Prairie.
When asked to describe the season in one word, many of the cast members settled on “sad.” However, Schwartz went with “Shakespearean,” which drew some boos from the audience. His most memorable comment of the panel was when he complimented his ex-wife Maloney, only to be told that he looked like a couch in return.
Interestingly, there was not a single mention of Raquel Leviss, the third party in the cheating scandal that rocked the show. Leviss seemingly did not come to an agreement with Bravo on returning for the recent season. However, during a teaser for the upcoming season, which only featured about 10 seconds of footage, Madix accused Sandoval of trying to harm her dog and hinted that her lawyer would be getting involved. This preview left the audience with something to anticipate.
All in all, the Vanderpump Rules panel at BravoCon provided fans with a taste of what’s to come in the upcoming season. While details were scarce, the tensions and conflicts hinted at during the event suggest that viewers can expect the same drama-filled moments they have come to love from the show. Whether it’s the fallout from the reunion, the complicated relationships between the cast members, or the unexpected accusations, Vanderpump Rules continues to deliver entertainment that keeps fans coming back for more.
