Allegations have surfaced against Diddy, accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman more than three decades ago in New York City. Diddy vehemently denies these accusations, asserting that they are baseless.
According to legal documents , a woman named Joi Dickerson-Neal alleges that she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991 when she encountered Diddy. She asserts that what began as a date quickly turned into a nightmarish experience.
In her lawsuit, the woman contends that Diddy took her to a Harlem restaurant where she worked, treating her to chicken and waffles in January 1991. Afterward, he drove her to a recording studio. The woman claims that during the meal, her legs felt unnaturally weak, and she struggled to stand when leaving Diddy’s car, leading her to suspect that she had been drugged.
According to the lawsuit, after departing the music studio that evening, Diddy took her to a residence where she alleges he sexually assaulted her while secretly recording the incident.
The legal action is pursued under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which grants alleged victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to file a civil lawsuit, even if the statute of limitations has expired. This suit was filed on Thursday, the deadline for such lawsuits. In response, a spokesperson for Diddy stated,
“This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”
Additionally, the woman accuses Diddy of exhibiting the secretly recorded tape to numerous individuals, alleging that a musician informed her that Diddy had shown the tape to “everyone.”
The woman contends that she experienced a downward spiral following the alleged assault, leading to her withdrawal from Syracuse University and a diagnosis of clinical depression.
This lawsuit follows Cassie’s recent legal action against Diddy, where she made serious allegations of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their relationship. Diddy promptly settled Cassie’s lawsuit.
