Ford showcased new Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) packages for the Bronco SUV and redesigned Ranger pickup at the 2023 SEMA show in Las Vegas. These packages, developed by Ford Performance, are aimed at enhancing the off-roading capabilities of these vehicles for outdoor enthusiasts. The ORV packages can be added to new vehicles or retrofitted through Ford dealers or ASE-certified shops.
For the Ranger, the ORV package is specifically designed for the XLT and Lariat grades equipped with four-wheel drive. It includes an ARB overland suspension kit for improved off-road performance. Additionally, there are ARB front and rear bumpers with recovery points for added durability and functionality. The package also includes an onboard air compressor and Solis lights for increased visibility. To support longer journeys, a 47-quart refrigerator is also included in the package.
On the other hand, the Bronco’s ORV package is available for the base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Outer Banks grades with the standard 2.3-liter turbo-4 engine and either the 10-speed automatic or 7-speed manual transmission. The suspension upgrade for the Bronco features a 2.0-inch lift kit from Bilstein, which enhances the vehicle’s ground clearance for tackling rough terrains. The package also includes 17-inch white wheels with 35-inch off-road tires, an ARB jack and mount for easy repairs, and an engine bay-mounted compressor for airing up tires and other equipment. Additionally, a Borla cat-back exhaust system is included in the package for improved performance and sound. Ford mentioned that the engine will also receive a unique software calibration, although specific details were not provided.
It is important to note that these packages are still in the concept stage, and the final specifications may vary. Ford will announce pricing information closer to the market launch of these ORV packages.
Apart from the ORV packages, Ford made other exciting announcements at the SEMA show. They unveiled an 800-horsepower supercharger upgrade for the redesigned 2024 Mustang GT, which will provide superior performance for Mustang enthusiasts. Additionally, Ford introduced various accessories, including vinyl graphics, that can be personalized by customers. Unlike previous graphics offered by Ford, these new graphics allow customers to choose from 60 different colors and three finishes (gloss, satin, and matte) to create a unique look for their vehicles.
Overall, Ford’s presence at the SEMA show demonstrated their commitment to providing customers with enhanced off-road capabilities and customization options. The ORV packages for the Bronco and Ranger, along with the Mustang GT supercharger upgrade and customizable vinyl graphics, offer enthusiasts the opportunity to further personalize and enhance their Ford vehicles for an exhilarating outdoor experience. As Ford continues to innovate and cater to the needs of its customers, it is clear that their dedication to performance and individuality remains at the forefront of their product offerings.
