Paramount Pictures, one of the leading film studios, has announced the promotion of Brooke Robertson as the new Head of Global Communications and Media Relations. In her new position, she will report directly to Brian Robbins, the President and CEO of Paramount Pictures.
As the head of global communications, Robertson will be responsible for overseeing the corporate brand and global communications strategies for all units under Paramount Pictures, including Paramount Animation and Paramount Players. Additionally, she will also play a crucial role in Paramount Global’s properties, such as Paramount+.
In a statement, Brian Robbins praised Robertson for her expertise in communications and strategic thinking, praising her as an invaluable member of the Paramount leadership team. He expressed confidence in her ability to shape and strengthen the studio’s corporate identity and positioning.
This appointment comes after Jenny Tartikoff, the previous head of global communications, left the studio in May.
Brooke Robertson has an extensive background in the entertainment industry, especially in the field of communications. She served as the Senior VP of Global Communications and Media Relations at Paramount prior to her promotion. Additionally, from 2019 to 2021, she held a dual vice president role for Paramount Television Studios while also managing her film duties. Since joining Paramount in 2017 as the global communications director, she has worked closely with senior leadership to build the studio’s corporate communications team.
Before joining Paramount, Robertson spent over five years in various communications roles at 20th Century Fox. During her time there, she handled corporate communications, talent relations, corporate social responsibility, corporate events, guild relations, and awards. Her experience at a major studio like 20th Century Fox provided her with valuable insights into the industry and its intricate workings.
Starting her career at ICM Partners, Robertson gained media relations support experience in various sectors, including motion pictures, television, theater, music, publishing, new media, and branded entertainment departments. This diverse experience helped her develop a well-rounded approach to communications.
As the head of global communications and media relations, Robertson’s primary goal will be to strengthen Paramount’s corporate identity and amplify its messaging.
