Scottish director Lynne Ramsay has been announced as the recipient of the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival. The award, which honors lifetime achievement in the film industry, will be presented to Ramsay at the festival on August 16th, followed by a screening of her critically acclaimed 2017 feature, “You Were Never Really Here”.
“You Were Never Really Here” is a psychological crime drama that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received recognition and praise. Ramsay won the Best Screenplay award for the film, while its star, Joaquin Phoenix, was honored with the Best Actor prize.
