Huawei and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 5.5G strategic cooperation at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2023. The partnership aims to facilitate the metaverse, marking the beginning of a new phase in their existing long-term partnership.
Du from EITC is one of the UAE’s fastest-growing telecommunication operators that has demonstrated exceptional performance in 5G network experience and service development, capturing a large share of the Middle East market. Through this latest announcement, Huawei and du will build upon their existing partnership and work together on 5.5G innovation, including technological innovation, E2E network evolution, and application exploration.
The MoU outlines three primary areas of collaboration.
