Investment firm Valkyrie is set to offer exposure to Ethereum futures through its Bitcoin Strategy ETF. The fund will be one of the first to provide investors access to both Bitcoin and Ethereum futures in one product — a move that could have been accelerated by a potential US government shutdown. VanEck has also announced its upcoming Ethereum Strategy ETF, to be listed on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Meanwhile, the criminal trial of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, also known as SBF, will start on October 4 and is expected to last for a duration of six weeks. SBF has been charged with several fraud and conspiracy charges and faces the possibility of a life sentence if found guilty. Co-founder of Three Arrows Capital Su Zhu has been detained at Changi Airport in Singapore as part of an ongoing investigation to retrieve funds for the now-bankrupt hedge fund. In addition, Binance has warned its European users to convert their euro balances to Tether by the end of October due to the loss of support from its banking partner Paysafe. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has also delayed its decision on several spot Bitcoin ETF applications, ahead of a potential government shutdown.
