The first ever in-person Pragma summit, organised by ETHGlobal, took place in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward last week. Pragma was billed as a “hub for high-quality talks and as a forum of discussion for builders and leaders from the Ethereum ecosystem and beyond” and featured on-stage interviews with key figures such as Juan Benet of Protocol Labs, Balaji Srinivasan, the author of “The Network State”, and Stani Kulechov of Aave Companies. The interviews covered a wide range of topics such as Japan’s culture of teamwork, blockchain scaling and challenges to Western fiat currencies. Attendees also heard presentations on several product announcements from companies including Secured Finance, Safe, and Airstack.
