Dustin Singleton, a 42-year-old man from Hobe Sound, Florida, has been sentenced to 480 months in prison for multiple crimes, including producing child sexual abuse material, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. His sentence also includes a lifetime of supervised release. Elijah Daniel Shaw, a 22-year-old man from Port St Lucie, was also sentenced to 259 months in prison for producing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
The case began on April 29, 2022, when law enforcement conducted a traffic stop in Stuart, Florida. During the stop, Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives discovered a significant amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia in Singleton’s vehicle, including methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana. They also found firearms, ammunition, and various controlled substances. It’s worth noting that Singleton is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms.
Further investigation revealed disturbing information about Singleton’s activities at his tattoo shop in Port St. Lucie. According to court records, Singleton, also known as “Greenhouse,” allegedly exchanged narcotics and tattoos for sexual activity with minor females. Law enforcement obtained search warrants for Singleton’s electronic devices, which uncovered numerous explicit images of Singleton and Shaw with a 13-year-old female victim. The recordings were made inside the tattoo shop.
Singleton’s illegal activities didn’t stop there. Additional search warrants were obtained for Singleton’s and Shaw’s social media accounts and iCloud accounts, leading to the discovery of further child sexual abuse material. The videos revealed Singleton tattooing the 13-year-old victim before progressing to more explicit acts involving smoking glass pipes and engaging in sexual activity with both the victim and Shaw. Investigators also found videos of Singleton engaging in sexual activity with two additional 17-year-old victims, recorded using his shop’s video surveillance system.
As a result of these shocking discoveries, Singleton has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term and a lifetime of supervised release, while Shaw has been sentenced to over 20 years in prison and 15 years of supervised release.
