Global Travel Collection (GTC), the luxury travel division of Internova Travel Group, has recently announced several new initiatives aimed at supporting its community of travel advisors and agencies worldwide. These developments were shared by Angie Licea, President of Global Travel Collection, during the company’s Elevate conference held at the Virgin Hotels New York.
One of the exciting new offerings is Concierge, powered by TEN. This program provides GTC advisors with exclusive lifestyle services and priority access to the best restaurants, hotels, shows, and events around the world. It will be made available exclusively to GTC advisors starting in 2024. In addition, GTC is in the process of developing a new cloud-based platform that will assist travel advisors in designing and managing complex trips for their clients. This planning tool incorporates features such as customer relationship management (CRM), client proposal and itinerary creation, and workflow management.
Other new developments include the creation of a Partner Solutions Team to assist advisors in navigating special offers from preferred partners. GTC has also revamped its air desk and enhanced support services for group bookings. Furthermore, a new GTC corporate website is set to be launched, offering comprehensive business travel services, including entertainment travel and meetings and incentives. GTC advisors can benefit from value-added amenity programs and offers, such as Curated Hotels & Resorts. Introduced at the Elevate conference, this program provides clients of GTC advisors with $100 credits when booking a stay of two consecutive nights or more at participating properties, as well as room upgrades when available.
As part of Internova’s new Green Circle eco-luxe sustainability initiative, a portion of the sales proceeds generated from Internova’s programs, including Curated, will be allocated towards supporting verified carbon sequestration projects around the world, starting in 2024.
Over the past year, GTC has demonstrated its commitment to travel advisors through various programs and activities. This includes the launch of a luxury travel magazine, Oltre, which was initially distributed to clients of GTC advisors. GTC has also organized professional development workshops in New York City and Beverly Hills, restructured its fam trips and industry event invitations, expanded its Learning Library with additional courses for advisors, and created a new advisor newsletter. Additionally, GTC collaborated with NBC’s LXTV to produce “Extra Mile Club,” a television pilot that showcased the benefits of working with GTC advisors by featuring two advisors competing to plan a perfect New York City weekend for celebrity clients. GTC has also relaunched its website, enhancing the connection between consumers and travel advisors by featuring advisor profiles and inspirational travel stories.
In February, GTC introduced “The Path Forward,” a program that lays the foundation for a flexible and adaptable business environment, empowering advisors for long-term success in an ever-changing travel landscape. Through the creation of Advisor Success Teams, GTC advisors receive personalized, proactive attention to help them attract new customers and grow their businesses. Each smaller group of advisors is guided by a dedicated manager who tailors resources to meet the unique needs of each individual business.
