Humane, a startup company, has officially unveiled its innovative device, the Ai Pin. The product was introduced on the runway of Paris Fashion Week in October, when model Naomi Campbell was spotted wearing it. The Ai Pin is a pocket-worn wearable AI assistant, designed to perform various tasks typically carried out by smartphones and voice assistants. The distinguishing feature of the Ai Pin is its lack of a screen; instead, it operates primarily through voice commands and, occasionally, a virtual screen projected onto the user’s hand.
Another unique attribute of the Ai Pin is its ability to work independently of other devices. It is connected to its own phone network through T-Mobile but operates on Humane’s own MVNO network. The device is set to be priced at $700, with an additional monthly cost of $24 for unlimited talk, text, and data. Customers can expect the Ai Pin to be shipped in early 2024.
