Kevin Haney and Ora T. Green will be honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 11th annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards on February 18. Both artists have had illustrious careers in the industry, contributing to a wide range of films and television shows.
Kevin Haney, a highly acclaimed make-up artist, has been recognized with an Academy Award for his work on “Driving Miss Daisy” as well as six Primetime Emmy Awards for various projects including “Primetime Glick”, “Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows”, “The X Files”, “Kissinger and Nixon”, “The Show Formerly Known as the Martin Short Show”, and “Mark Twain and Me”. His impressive film credits include “Dungeons & Dragons”, “Honor Among Thieves”, “Iron Man”, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, “The Shawshank Redemption”, and “Dick Tracy”. His work on television has been equally as impressive, with credits such as “Perry Mason”, “Legion”, “Star Trek: Phase II”, “Friends”, and “The Mandalorian”. Haney has also worked as a personal artist for Bette Midler, Jason Robards, and Martin Short.
Ora T. Green, an Emmy-nominated hair stylist, has made significant contributions to the industry with her work on projects such as “Star Trek: Nemesis” and “Blade”. She has also been twice nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on “Path To War” and “Frank’s Place”. Green began her career working on sitcoms like “Maude”, “One Day at a Time”, and “Good Times”, before transitioning to TV series including “Ally McBeal” and “Snoops”. Her work in feature films and TV movies includes projects such as “Blade”, “Hook”, “Thirteen Days”, and “Wayne’s World 2”.
Green, who joined Local 706 in 1977, is recognized by the Guild as a “trailblazing African American woman who helped open the doors for other women” in the industry.
