Skyler Gisondo, best known for his work on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, has been cast as Jimmy Olsen, the eager and youthful photographer at The Daily Planet who works alongside Clark Kent and Lois Lane. This character has been a staple in the Superman universe, previously portrayed by actors such as Jack Larson in the 1950s Adventures of Superman TV show, Marc McClure in 1978’s Superman and its sequels, and Sam Huntington in 2006’s Superman Returns. In Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Michael Cassidy portrayed Jimmy Olsen as a CIA operative who was quickly killed off. Sara Sampaio, a renowned Portuguese model famous for her work with Victoria’s Secret, has been cast as Eve Teschmacher, the assistant and sometimes mistress to the cunning villain Lex Luthor, who will be portrayed by Nicholas Hoult. Teschmacher originally made her debut in Richard Donner’s Superman and was played by Valerie Perrine.
