Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has officially confirmed that the Star Wars movie he was slated to make is no longer happening. Entertainment Tonight asked Feige about the status of the project during the Las Vegas premiere of The Marvels, and he responded with a simple and definitive “no.”
This news comes four years after Feige was initially confirmed to be working on a Star Wars film. However, details about the project have been kept under wraps, with the only known fact being that he was in the process of writing the script for the movie. Then, in March, Variety reported that both Feige’s Star Wars movie and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars project had been shelved. This announcement was a disappointment to many fans who were eager to see what Feige, known for his success at Marvel, would bring to the Star Wars universe.
With Feige’s Star Wars movie no longer in the works, it leaves only three (or possibly six) other movies in the Star Wars franchise’s pipeline under Disney.
