Minor Hotels is set to make its debut in Paris with the addition of three four-star hotels. Owned by Swiss Life Asset Managers France, the group will launch three NH Hotels in Q1 2024, with one of the properties rebranding as NH Collection in 2025 following a renovation.
Strategically, Minor Hotels is expanding into key cities in Europe, and the addition of these properties in Paris is part of their growth plan. The properties, which will be refurbished, will offer travelers 400 guest rooms to enjoy the French capital. In addition to the guest rooms, the hotels will also feature a restaurant and bars that highlight the local gastronomy. The hotels are located in prime areas for shopping, dining, and sightseeing, and are close to major tourist sites such as the Louvre, the national opera, and the Champs-Elysées.
The three hotels in Paris are strategically positioned to cater to the increasing number of tourists visiting the city. NH Paris Gare de l’Est and NH Opéra Paris Faubourg will open in Q1 2024, while the NH Paris Champs-Elysées will open in 2025 as NH Collection following a renovation. This move aligns with the group’s strategic plan to grow its presence in key European cities.
Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and group CEO of parent company Minor International, expressed his excitement about the expansion, stating, “Our team has been searching for the right opportunities in this key market for some time, so we are pleased to announce that, together with Swiss Life AM, Minor Hotels will arrive in Paris not with one but with three hotels. We believe this is an amazing opportunity to grow with two of our brands in the second most visited city in the world and home to the 2024 Olympics.”
These three hotels will join Minor Hotels’ portfolio of six French properties located in Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, and Nice, further cementing the group’s presence in the French market. In addition to its expansion in France, Minor Hotels has recently opened NH Collection Milano CityLife in Italy, NH Collection Frankfurt Spin Tower in Germany, NH Collection Maldives Havodda Resort, and NH Collection Dubai The Palm in the United Arab Emirates, marking the brand’s debut in the Middle East.
Looking ahead, the group has plans to open NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa in Finland, NH Collection Chiang Mai in Thailand, and NH Collection Luang Prabang in Laos. The strategic expansion of the NH brand is evident in recent openings in Italy, Portugal, and Thailand, marking the brand’s launch in Asia. With this momentum, Minor Hotels is poised to continue its growth in key markets around the world.
