Moonbirds, the night dwelling NFT PFP collection, has revealed its ambitious plans to venture into uncharted territory. In November, 254 ‘Space Helmet’ trait tokens will accompany Space Blue on a mission to the Moon.
This undertaking coincides with the 50th anniversary of NASA’s last expedition to the awe-inspiring lunar sphere. Just like before, the team will make their way to the lunar surface, but this time they will be hitching a ride on Space X’s Falcon 9 rocket. And they won’t be traveling empty-handed.
On November 15, the formidable spacecraft will embark on the ‘Lunarprise Mission’ to the Moon. This mission will encompass a wide range of culturally significant artwork from 222 different creators, spanning various mediums such as music, entertainment, art, and, of course, NFTs.
The collaboration between Moonbirds and Space Blue will see 254 Astro Moonbirds, those adorned with a space helmet, join this extraordinary collection of historic items. Space Blue, an art appreciation platform, will ensure the preservation of each piece in the Lunarprise Mission by imprinting them on indestructible nickel plates before sending them to the Moon. However, duplicates of the items will also be maintained on Earth, allowing enthusiasts to view them from the comfort of their home planet.
In addition to the pride of representing Moonbirds in space, 50 fortunate Astro holders will receive an exclusive invitation to the launch party and black-tie dinner at the Kennedy Space Center. In an additional treat, a select group of holders will receive a special edition bomber jacket featuring a Lunarprise Mission patch as a souvenir.
