Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., has announced the sentencing of Antjuan Smith, a 19-year-old, to 15 years in state prison for a horrifying crime. Smith was found guilty of shooting a 37-year-old woman through the peephole of her apartment door in NYCHA’s Douglass Houses. The incident occurred on November 1, 2021, and Smith was convicted of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
