This week brings the OneLand Metaverse Market Analysis stats for May 22 – 28, 2023. Let’s dive in.
Meta Rankings (7D)
OneLand’s 7-day data shows us that aggregate land market caps for the 10 listed projects have decreased by 0.44% to 772,997 ETH, or $1.475 billion (+5.3%). The divergence in ETH and USD terms is a consequence of $ETH ending the week up 5.8%. Meanwhile, metaverse tokens $SAND (+13.7%) and $CUBE (+13.9%) saw a significant rally.
Project land caps were relatively stable, with the notable exceptions of The Sandbox, which enjoyed its second consecutive weekly boost (+4.86%), and Decentraland, which suffered its fourth consecutive weekly drop (-5.7%). Land caps and average prices in The Sandbox and Decentraland are converging, with a flippening on the cards within days if the trend continues. The average price of a plot of land is also converging, supported by several high-priced sales in The Sandbox in recent weeks.
In terms of trading activity, BYOPills and Treeverse enjoyed dramatic booms, with volumes soaring 642% and 416%, respectively. Meanwhile, 7-day sales counts for all other projects (with the exception of Decentraland) ended the week down.
