The iconic rock band, The Rolling Stones, has announced their upcoming 16-city trek of the U.S. and Canada, titled Stones Tour ’24: Hackney Diamonds. The tour is set to kick off on April 28 at Houston’s NRG Stadium and is sponsored by AARP. The band’s latest album, Hackney Diamonds, was released last month and features collaborations with music legends such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Lady Gaga. The tour will see the Stones visit various stadiums across the U.S. and Canada, including Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium, Santa Clara’s Levi Stadium, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, Chicago’s Soldier Field, and Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, the venue for the upcoming Super Bowl. Additionally, the band is set to perform at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on May 2. This tour marks the Band’s return to the U.S. following their No Filter tour in 2021.
Hackney Diamonds is the band’s first album of original music since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The album’s first single, “Angry,” has been nominated for best rock song at the 2024 Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on Feb. 4. In 2016, The Rolling Stones released the critically acclaimed blues covers album Blue & Lonesome, which earned them their third Grammy.
