Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is making its way to Greece with the upcoming launch of Rosewood Blue Palace. Situated in Crete, the Blue Palace is set to reopen as part of the Rosewood portfolio in 2025, following an extensive renovation. This move marks Rosewood’s entry into Greece and promises to be a significant addition to its luxury hotel and resort collection.
The location of Rosewood Blue Palace is strategically placed between the small fishing village of Plaka and the port of Elounda. This positioning integrates the resort into its surroundings, allowing guests to connect with the culture and history of Crete. Nestled into the hillside and offering breathtaking views of a private beach, Rosewood Blue Palace will boast 154 rooms and suites, with 85 of them featuring private pools for an extra touch of luxury.
The renovation of Rosewood Blue Palace will showcase interiors designed by the renowned Grecian firm K-Studio. Moreover, the property has enlisted Greek-born, London-based interior designer Afroditi Krassa to curate the spaces housing three of the resort’s six restaurants and bars.
The culinary offerings at Rosewood Blue Palace will be nothing short of extraordinary. The resort will feature several specialty restaurants, a beach club, and a bar that offers stunning views of the Spinalonga Island off the Gulf of Elounda. To complement this, an all-day restaurant will source fresh produce from local purveyors and the resort’s own on-site organic garden.
In addition to the exquisite dining experiences, the resort will also be home to an Asaya spa, Rosewood’s holistic well-being concept. Alongside this, guests can take advantage of a fitness center, movement studio, yoga pavilion, and dedicated areas for hydrotherapy treatments. Furthermore, the three outdoor pools, including adult and children’s designated areas, will all provide breathtaking views of the ocean.
Crete has long been a destination favored by affluent travelers seeking natural beauty and authentic offerings. This makes it the perfect location for Rosewood’s debut in Greece. Rosewood Blue Palace will join a distinguished collection of European properties including Rosewood London, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, Rosewood Villa Magna, Rosewood Vienna, and Rosewood Munich, with Rosewood Amsterdam and Rosewood Schloss Fuschl set to open over the next year.
As Rosewood continues to expand its presence in Europe, its commitment to providing unparalleled luxury and exceptional service remains unwavering. With Rosewood Blue Palace, the brand aims to offer guests an unforgettable experience that combines the natural beauty of Crete with the finest in luxury hospitality.
