Sensorium Galaxy has partnered with renowned DJ Carl Cox for a groundbreaking virtual show called Intermundium. This highly anticipated event will redefine the concept of virtual reality shows and is set to premiere on Friday, October 27th, at 7 p.m. GMT/2 p.m. EDT.
Intermundium marks the official launch of Sensorium Galaxy, a state-of-the-art multiplayer cross-platform metaverse that utilizes cutting-edge technologies. While the show can be enjoyed through 2D streaming on platforms like YouTube, Sensorium’s website, and Sensorium’s mobile app, the most immersive experience can be achieved through two virtual reality (VR) formats: VR-360 and full-fledged VR.
The VR-360 format, which will soon be available for standalone VR headsets, transports viewers into the heart of the action. It offers a theatrical experience where the entire virtual environment changes and evolves in sync with the music, creating a mesmerizing digital performance. This immersive experience is enhanced by the presence of a hyper-realistic avatar.
The full-fledged VR format gives users the ability to customize their experience according to their preferences. They can choose to be in the fan zone, where they can directly face Carl Cox’s avatar, join the enthusiastic virtual crowd on the dance floor, or explore the futuristic and levitating concert module in the PRISM world, where Intermundium is set.
One of the unique features of the full-fledged VR format is the ability for users to enter Intermundium through a dedicated space vessel called the “Shuttle.” In this vessel, users can customize their avatar’s appearance to match their mood. Prior to stepping onto the showfloor, users can also engage in unscripted conversations with generative-AI avatars, allowing for socialization and a heightened sense of immersion. Once on the stage, participants can interact and converse with other users, amplifying the emotional experience compared to real-life shows.
The full-fledged VR experience is optimized for PCVR and is compatible with all major VR headsets currently available. Sensorium Galaxy has leveraged cutting-edge technologies to bring this immersive experience to life. Advanced photogrammetry processes have been used to create lifelike avatars of the artists, while top-tier motion capture technology has produced 3,500 realistic dance movements to animate these avatars. Sensorium Galaxy has also developed a proprietary technology for creating virtual being personalities, which enhances the conversational AI experience with the inhabitants of the metaverse. Unreal Engine 5, the game engine behind some of the most sophisticated game titles, powers these innovations, providing artists with the freedom to unleash their creativity without any constraints.
Carl Cox, a renowned DJ and producer, expressed his excitement about pushing boundaries and enhancing electronic music culture through immersive experiences. Seeing his own avatar and experiencing the virtual reality firsthand has made him realize the extraordinary possibilities that this technology offers. Carl Cox believes that sharing his experiences with like-minded individuals anywhere on Earth, or even beyond, is now a reality.
Sasha Tityanko, Deputy CEO and Art Director at Sensorium, emphasized that the collaboration between Carl Cox and Sensorium has allowed for the exploration of new digital realms. Within this partnership, creative possibilities are endless, and the only limit is the digital sky. Backed by advanced technology, Intermundium promises an immersive journey into uncharted territory, marking just the beginning of Sensorium Galaxy’s exciting journey.
Intermundium is accessible for free across multiple platforms, including the Sensorium Galaxy Website (2D Stream), YouTube (2D Stream), Sensorium’s mobile apps (2D Stream), Steam, and the Epic Games Store (Full-fledged VR on desktop PC). The VR-360 format will be launched in the near future, further enhancing the immersive experience.
