The redesigned Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Coupe is set to arrive in showrooms later this year with a starting price of $58,150, including destination. While this price is nearly $10,000 more than the regular GLC-Class, the GLC-Class Coupe offers a distinct muscular body and a sleek coupe-like design.
Mercedes has already begun accepting orders for the GLC-Class Coupe, and the first orders to be fulfilled will be those with the available AMG Line sports package, which increases the starting price to $61,000, including destination.
The GLC-Class Coupe comes equipped with a digital cockpit that includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. In addition, it offers features such as a wireless phone charger, heated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. While customers still have the option to select their desired colors and trims individually, Mercedes has also grouped popular options into packages such as Pinnacle, Driver Assistance, and Night packages.
The Pinnacle package, priced at $2,950, adds premium features like a Burmester 3D sound system, a head-up display, augmented-reality navigation, and digital light with projection functions. The Driver Assistance package, priced at $1,950, includes various electronic driver-assist features such as adaptive cruise control with steering assist and stop-and-go modes. For an additional $200, customers can opt for the Night package, which adds dark accents to various exterior features.
Currently, the only available grade for the GLC-Class Coupe is the GLC 300, which comes with standard all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The engine produces 255 horsepower on its own, but with the assistance of the mild-hybrid system, it can receive a temporary 23-horsepower boost. Mercedes states that the GLC 300 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.
In addition to the GLC 300, more powerful grades from AMG are also on the horizon. The GLC 43 Coupe, which is expected to arrive in early 2024, will offer 416 horsepower, while the GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe, set to debut later that year, will boast an impressive 671 horsepower. Pricing information for the AMG models will be announced closer to their market launches.
With the introduction of the GLC-Class Coupe, Mercedes aims to appeal to customers who desire a combination of style, performance, and luxury. The distinct design of the coupe-like body, coupled with advanced features and powerful engine options, makes the GLC-Class Coupe an attractive choice for those in the market for a luxury SUV.
