Directed by Danya Taymor, the show will officially open on April 11, 2024, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Previews will begin on March 16. In an exciting development, award-winning actress, director, and producer Angelina Jolie has joined the musical’s production team. Alongside The Araca Group, American Zoetrope, Olympus Theatricals, Sue Gilad, and Larry Rogowsky, Jolie brings her talent and expertise to the project. Jolie expressed her enthusiasm for the theater, stating that her first love as a performer was in the theater. She had not found a way back until now and is grateful for the opportunity to contribute and learn from the amazing team she has been working with since her daughter brought her to see the show at La Jolla Playhouse.
