The highly-anticipated Venom sequel, scheduled for release on July 12, 2024, has been delayed by several months. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will now hit the big screen on Nov. 8, 2024. The decision to push back the release date came on the same day that a tentative deal was reached between SAG-AFTRA and studios and streamers over a new three-year contract following the 118-day actors strike.
In this third installment of the Venom series, which is currently untitled, Tom Hardy reprises his role as the lethal protector, Venom. Kelly Marcel is at the helm as director, as well as the co-writer of the screenplay along with Tom Hardy, while Marcel and Hardy also contributed to the story. The film is being produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy, and Hutch Parker.
Joining the cast as franchise newcomers are Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, adding to the mystery and excitement surrounding the sequel. As for the plot, most details have been kept under wraps, leaving fans eager to uncover what’s in store for the iconic character.

Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, originally set to open on March 29, 2024, has also been removed from the calendar for the time being. Additionally, the studio rescheduled Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven the Hunter from Oct. 6 of this year to Aug. 30, 2024.
