XREAL, formerly known as Nreal, has announced the release of its latest augmented reality (AR) glasses, the XREAL Air 2 and XREAL Air 2 Pro. These glasses, priced at $399 and $449 respectively, are set to make AR technology more accessible to consumers.
These new AR glasses from XREAL are now available for pre-order in the UK, marking the company’s commitment to bringing AR technology to a wider audience. The XREAL Air 2 series aims to revolutionize the way people enjoy video games, movies, and TV shows by providing a large virtual screen experience of up to 330 inches. With the latest Micro-OLED displays, these glasses are 10% lighter and thinner than the previous generation, providing users with a more comfortable and visually stunning AR experience.
One of the key features of the XREAL Air 2 series is its improved audio and microphone system, which enhances the overall immersive experience. The XREAL Air 2 Pro also offers a one-touch immersion control feature using XREAL Electromagnetic Dimming. These advancements in audio and immersion control contribute to a more realistic and engaging AR experience.
In addition to their technical capabilities, the XREAL Air 2 series glasses also offer a stylish and customizable design. Available in Graphite Gray and the new Carmine Red colorways, users can express their own personal style while enjoying the benefits of AR technology. XREAL also introduces the XREAL Kaleido Kit, a fun and fashion-forward accessory for the glasses.
Peng Jin, Co-Founder of XREAL, believes that AR holds the potential for a paradigm shift in how people interact with technology. He remarks that the era of wearable displays is here, as advancements in technology have allowed for devices like stereos, telephones, and computers to be scaled down and made portable.
Since the release of AR glasses, XREAL has provided users with the ability to experience big-screen TVs, high-quality projectors, and full HD monitors in a compact, portable form. These glasses have transformed the way people enjoy entertainment and productivity, with customers spending between one and three hours using XREAL AR glasses in each session. With the XREAL Air 2 series, the focus is on comfort and wearability, without compromising on display quality and fidelity.
The XREAL Air 2 and Air 2 Pro glasses are now available for pre-order on the XREAL website, as well as in the US, Germany, France, and Italy. The price for the Air 2 is set at $399 USD, £399 GBP, and €459, while the Air 2 Pro is priced slightly higher at $449 USD, £449 GBP, and €515. Customers can expect to receive their orders in mid-to-late November in the US and UK, with availability in other European countries in December.
