The 2024 Hyundai Sonata has received a futuristic redesign as part of its mid-cycle refresh. This updated look is applied to the entire lineup, including the sporty N Line model. Hyundai unveiled the refreshed Sonata in March and has now showcased the 2024 Sonata N Line, providing more details on this enhanced version of their popular midsize sedan.
As previously showcased, the 2024 Sonata’s exterior has been updated with new front and rear ends. The front features a visor-like light bar and a wide grille and air intakes, following the styling cues of the 2024 Kona. At the back, a new black panel with a textured finish sits beneath full-width taillights. Additionally, every Sonata model now comes with a rear spoiler, contributing to improved aerodynamics.
The 2024 Sonata N Line, which was first introduced for the 2021 model year, also receives some subtle styling enhancements to emphasize its sporty nature. This will continue with the refreshed 2024 model, which will feature quad exhaust tips and model-specific double five-spoke 19-inch wheels. These design elements further convey the enhanced performance and athleticism of the Sonata N Line.
Under the hood, the 2024 Sonata N Line is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine. Although Hyundai has not released specific details for the 2024 model, the current Sonata N Line generates 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine ensures a thrilling driving experience for Sonata N Line enthusiasts.
The rest of the powertrain lineup for the 2024 Sonata includes a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter inline-4 engine for most other grades, and a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine coupled with a hybrid system in the Sonata Hybrid. Excitingly, the 2024 Sonata will also offer optional all-wheel drive for the first time. However, it remains unclear which models will come equipped with this feature.
Inside the 2024 Sonata, drivers will find a range of advanced features and technologies. The cabin can be equipped with a curved display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen in one housing. This innovative display provides a seamless and visually appealing user experience. Additionally, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will now be available on all Sonata models, allowing for convenient smartphone integration. Furthermore, Hyundai has introduced over-the-air update (OTA) capability, enabling software updates to be performed remotely.
The 2024 Hyundai Sonata is set to go on sale in the United States this winter. Pricing details will be revealed closer to the release date, allowing customers to make informed decisions when considering this sleek and technologically advanced midsize sedan. With its futuristic design elements, enhanced performance options, and cutting-edge interior features, the 2024 Sonata is sure to continue Hyundai’s legacy of delivering exceptional vehicles to consumers.
