Anker, a renowned brand in mobile power accessories, is introducing its latest lineup of products. This includes Qi2-equipped MagGo magnetic chargers, stations, and power banks, as well as new Nano USB-C chargers. These new products are designed to cater to the needs of iPhone 15 owners who may be transitioning from their previous Lightning-equipped setups to the new iPhones and AirPods.
According to rumors, the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup may enable Qi2 support, allowing for 15W charge speeds without requiring Apple’s MagSafe certification. However, Apple has not confirmed these plans yet. It remains to be seen if other manufacturers will update their devices or support the Qi2 specification in the future, potentially including the upcoming Pixel 8 series.
One significant improvement in Anker’s new Qi2-enabled MagGo devices is the inclusion of a circular magnet arrangement based on Apple’s input. This design matches the MagSafe design, enabling more efficient charging. Anker’s previous MagGo gear was only “MagSafe-compatible,” which restricted iPhones to 7.5-watt charging, whereas the MagSafe-branded gear allowed for 15-watt charging.
Among the new offerings is Anker’s portable Power Bank, which features Qi2 support. This Power Bank, with its kickstand and USB-C port, can charge other devices at up to 27W. An LCD screen on the side provides information on the 10,000mAh battery’s status. The Power Bank will be available in a wide range of colors. Anker is also introducing a 6,600mAh Power Bank that folds out into a sturdier stand, perfect for supporting iOS 17’s StandBy mode.
For users who prefer chargers that can support multiple devices, Anker is offering three MagGo Wireless Charging station designs. These stations allow users to power their iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch simultaneously. In addition, a simpler 15W pad charger is available as well. The charging station designs vary, including a tree arrangement suitable for a bedroom side table, a side-by-side arrangement that can fold flat, and a clamshell-like design with the Apple Watch trailing off the back.
Anker’s most powerful offering is the 67W MagGo Magnetic Charging Station, capable of providing 8-in-1 output on the desktop. This charging station offers up to 15W wireless charging on the magnetic front pad. On the back, it features three AC ports, two USB-C ports, and two USB-A ports.
Apart from Qi2 chargers, Anker is also unveiling other accessories. These include a USB-C Nano battery charger that supports 22.5W charging. Additionally, the compact Anker Nano Charging Station, with its pop-out AC port, offers two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and up to 67W charging support.
Earlier this month, Anker launched a range of high-powered chargers and batteries aimed at mobile warriors. Now, at IFA Berlin, Anker is showcasing its MagGo products, new Nano series chargers, and more. These products are targeted at individuals who prefer to travel light.
The availability and pricing of the Qi2 MagGo devices are yet to be announced, while the Nano series chargers are already available for purchase.
Overall, Anker’s latest batch of mobile power accessories demonstrates the brand’s commitment to staying ahead in the industry. By incorporating Qi2 technology and expanding their product range, Anker aims to provide reliable and efficient charging solutions to meet the evolving needs of smartphone users.
