Roborock, a leading robot vacuum manufacturer, has unveiled three new vacuum products at the IFA 2023 global tech show in Berlin. These new offerings include the Q5 Pro robot vacuum, the Q8 Max robot vacuum, and the Dyad Pro Combo wet/dry stick vacuum. With enhanced features, increased suction power, and more affordable pricing, these lidar-powered robot vacuums are set to revolutionize the cleaning industry.
Part of Roborock’s more affordable Q line, the Q5 Pro is priced at $429.99 for the standalone version and $699.99 for the Q5 Pro Plus, which includes an auto-empty charging dock. The Q8 Max, on the other hand, is priced at $599.99 for the standalone version and $819.99 for the Q8 Max Plus. Both models are expected to be available for purchase in October.
The Q5 Pro, an upgrade from the previous Q5 model, features a new DuoRoller brush system. This system incorporates two rubber brushes that move in opposite directions to effectively lift dirt and debris. With mopping capabilities, 5,500pa suction power, and a large 770ml onboard dustbin, the Q5 Pro offers a comprehensive cleaning experience. The Roborock app allows users to schedule cleanings, create a map of their home, and define no-go zones for more efficient cleaning. Additionally, a new feature alerts users to areas where the robot may encounter obstacles, suggesting the creation of no-go zones in those areas.
The Q8 Max offers even more advanced features compared to the Q5 Pro. Equipped with Roborock’s Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance system, the Q8 Max is less likely to get stuck during cleaning. It also features a larger 350ml water tank and basic mopping capabilities. With 5,500pa suction power and dual roller brushes, the Q8 Max provides a midrange option with reliable obstacle avoidance technology.
Roborock’s Dyad Pro Combo is a versatile 5-in-1 wet/dry vacuum that can be converted into a stick vacuum. This all-in-one cleaning device features 17,000pa suction power, a multisurface brush, various attachments, and a pivotal head for easy maneuverability. It includes a smart sensor that detects the level of dirt on the floor and adjusts the power level accordingly. The vacuum also has a self-cleaning and drying function when docked. With 60 minutes of runtime, the Dyad Pro Combo is priced at $659.99.
These new vacuum models from Roborock offer advanced features and improved functionality at lower price points. With increased suction power, enhanced brush systems, and the ability to mop, these robot vacuums provide an efficient and thorough cleaning experience. The integration of smart mapping technology and the ability to create no-go zones further maximize their effectiveness.
It is important to note that some of Roborock’s high-end models, such as the S7 Max V and the S8 series, feature even more advanced obstacle avoidance technology using Reactive AI 2.0 and Reactive Tech 3D systems. While the Q8 Max’s Reactive Tech Obstacle Avoidance system may not be as advanced, it still offers reliable performance in avoiding obstacles.
Overall, Roborock’s new vacuum offerings at the IFA 2023 tech show demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing innovative and high-quality cleaning solutions. With their combination of advanced features, increased suction power, and more affordable pricing, these new models are set to redefine the way we clean our homes.
