Tyrese Gibson is facing a lawsuit for allegedly causing significant damage to an Airbnb rental property. According to the property manager, Tracy Wolf, Tyrese made excessive alterations to the 5-bedroom estate in Woodland Hills, which he leased for $20,000 per month. The alterations included adding structures, altering electrical panels, adding electrical outlets that were not up to code, painting a marble fireplace in a shiny gold metallic color, closing off doors and windows, and causing damage to the HVAC units.
In response to the allegations, Tyrese claimed that the changes he made were not permanent and were intended to address privacy concerns. He emphasized that the materials he used were not attached to the home’s existing structures and that the changes were all temporary. However, the property manager disputed this, insisting that the alterations were far from temporary and had caused substantial damage to the property.
The dispute between Tyrese and the property manager escalated when Tyrese allegedly attempted to remove 22 banana trees from the property. Despite the homeowner’s objections, Tyrese reportedly tried to hire a construction crew to carry out the removal, but the property management team intervened to prevent it.
Evidence of the alleged damage includes video footage showing a construction crew drilling holes in the home’s wrought iron gate and stucco exterior. The property manager also claimed that Tyrese consistently disregarded requests not to make any changes without written consent from the owners and made alterations on a whim whenever he wanted.
Tiffanique Webb, the homeowner, exercised patience and gave Tyrese several months to restore the property. However, after Tyrese stopped responding to calls, texts, and emails, she felt compelled to take legal action. Webb is seeking more than $25,000 in damages from Tyrese.
As of now, Tyrese has not responded to the allegations or the lawsuit. It remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold and whether a resolution can be reached between the parties involved.
The situation serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of following contractual agreements and obtaining proper consent before making alterations to any property, especially when leasing a luxury estate. It also highlights the potential consequences of failing to maintain open lines of communication with property owners and management.
Overall, the case underscores the significance of adhering to the terms of a lease agreement and respecting the rights and boundaries of property owners, emphasizing the need for open and transparent communication to prevent conflicts and misunderstandings.
